An interesting experiment. Note that on the Huffduffer example, the input field’s label is still practically to the left of the field, while on the second example the label is on the input field itself. I think the Huffduffer’s one is much clearer.
This is a very, very good read if you’re thinking about making a photoblog and or gallery theme (also if you design for the web in general); learn and take note of what a professional photographer actually needs in his website.
